COACHING
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Coaching is a structured, reflective process that helps you think more clearly about where you are, where you want to go, and what might help you move forward.
Rather than giving you advice or telling you what to do, I work with you through questioning, reflection and practical tools to help you identify priorities, explore possibilities and make decisions that feel right for you.
-
People come to coaching for lots of different reasons. You might be navigating a career transition, feeling stuck, taking on a new role, trying to make a difficult decision, or simply wanting space to think about what comes next.
Coaching can also help with confidence, priorities, boundaries, professional identity, change and creating a clearer sense of direction.
-
No. Coaching and therapy can both involve reflection and meaningful conversation, but they have different purposes.
Coaching is generally future-focused and centred on goals, choices, development and change. It is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy or other mental health support.
-
Each session is shaped around what feels most useful to you at that point.
We might explore a particular challenge, unpack a decision, look at patterns or assumptions, identify what is getting in the way, or work towards a clearer next step.
-
I offer both individual and group coaching.
Individual coaching gives you dedicated space to focus on your own goals and challenges. Group coaching brings people together around a shared area of development while still giving each person space to reflect on their own experience.
-
I offer both online and face-to-face coaching.
Some people prefer the flexibility and convenience of online sessions, while others value being in the same physical space. We can choose the format that works best for you.
-
Sometimes. I draw on creative and visual methods where they are useful, but they are never imposed.
What we use depends on you, what you are working through, and your own level of comfort with different approaches. This might include LEGO® Serious Play®, image-based methods, mapping, collage or other tools that can help make thoughts and possibilities more visible. Some sessions may be entirely conversational.
-
There is no fixed number.
Some people come for a small number of sessions around a specific decision or transition, while others prefer to work together over a longer period. We can agree an approach that fits what you are looking for and review it as we go.
-
You can get in touch to tell me a little about what you are looking for and whether you are interested in individual or group coaching.
From there, we can decide whether coaching feels like the right fit and what format would work best for you.
